Join Corvus (the new music ensemble of the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival) for a concert that will be a magical confluence of nature, art, music, and inspiration.

This concert at Tonglen Lake Lodge will feature Corvus performing the works from the 2017 Composing in the Wilderness program that served as the direct inspiration for the art exhibit on display at the lodge! Also on the program will be music inspired by the ocean, Alaska Native folklore and more!

Each year, as part of “Composing in the Wilderness," nine composers go into Alaska’s amazing backcountry for a time of creative reflection.The works they produced in 2017 inspired six of Alaska’s best artists to create 18 new pieces of textile, sculpture, painting, and mixed media works which are having their inaugural showing at Tonglen Lake Lodge concurrently with the concert.
