Ryan Bowers and the Brain Trust

If you've been following Alaskan acoustic music over the past 15 years, you might recognize Ryan Bowers from any of a long list of great bands he has played in. Over the years, he has been part of groups playing bluegrass, contra dance, old time, country, jazz, rock, pop, and classical, and he now brings all of that experience with him in the creation of his debut solo album Sweet Calamity, which he'll be releasing on May 1st.
On the album, and in live shows with his band the Brain Trust, you will find emotionally complex and catchy acoustic songs full of wordcraft and devastation, with thoughtful storytelling and a beating dance heart.
Part of the Sweet Calamity tour, this intimate concert at Tonglen Lake Lodge will be your chance to see Ryan Bowers and the Brain Trust live in a concert setting in Denali! They will be playing songs from Sweet Calamity, as well as some old and new songs not included on the album, and some songs worked up especially for this tour.
